Early Childhood Curriculum

Page Academy's Early Childhood Program begins and ends with a warm caring qualified staff in a safe and secure environment. We understand that this may be the first occurrence you and your child are experiencing away from the home environment and together we will share your child's milestones, goals, and experiences.

It is the vision of Page Academy to teach and guide children every step of the way by exploring their educational journey through inviting and exciting opportunities that make learning fun.

The Preschool Program for our two and three year olds is the first step to becoming a life-long learner through hands-on experiences. Learning is both educational and fun through opportunities such as the Zoo Phonics program, tracing shapes, copying letters, cutting and pasting. Mathematic skills are also developed through hands-on activities. In our science centers, students learn about the natural world and how they interact with objects, people, and other living things. Dramatic play encourages social interaction, creativity, and language skill development.

Page's Prekindergarten Program provides children with a strong foundation that not only builds on the preschool program, but also helps prepare the child for a successful kindergarten experience. Our well-balanced curriculum provides for academic advancement and developmental growth. Our prekindergarteners learn to use strategies of phonics by identifying sounds and relating them to word structures. Phonics, language, and writing development go hand-in-hand as children explore the writing process. In our mathematics program, students learn not only identification and written recognition of numerals but also the basic concepts of addition and subtraction. Upon exiting our Prekindergarten program, students will have completed a Kindergarten curriculum in phonics, math and handwriting. Our technology program is also an integral part of our prekindergarten program. They are taught terminology, care of the computers and software, and the appropriate use of the main keys. The children have access to creative and age appropriate educational programs that support our educational philosophies and goals.
